Жизнь в Америке (продолжение)

I confined myself to my apartment for 13 years
Hi Jeremiah and welcome! Just a note — I'm not sure if staying in your apartment for that long was your personal deliberate choice of a product of circumstances, but churches seem to a good venue to meet people in the US. I still maintain contact with people I met in the US years ago through church connections. Of course there's no guarantee, but a church (preferably a community with a tradition) and graduate school are the venues where you have a good chance to meet decent people with some interests beyond basics.

I understand what you mean by popular discontent in the US. It's pretty much the same here in Canada except that people here are reserved, less outspoken and generally more obedient than south of the border.

Сергей, Hi Sergei,
At first it was imposed on me by circumstances, some transphysical event I couldn't explain until I got older. As it turns out, in my youth, I was able to perceive into multiple realities, which were overlaid together. Most people don't know how to adjust, they're diagnosed with schizophrenia, ignore/dismiss their experiences. It seemed like I could hear people from afar, know about their thoughts, and they in turn mine. If I'm not mistaken, Nikola Tesla had similar experiences during his period of illness, heightened sensitivity to his environment.

Fortunately, it went away on its own over time. I have not tried to acquire clairvoyance because I want to see things as they are, I don't want to be harassed by ghosts, and cultivating the ability to see nature spirits is more vital for science.

Yes, I'm aware churches are a good place for meet-ups, and that many people still go to church even if they have doubts because it meets their social needs. I was informed by some Orthodox contacts that the priests in Russia do more to help people than westerners. From stories I heard, Catholic priests usually turn away victims with transphysical experiences.

I would prefer to avoid universities. I had particularly negative experiences with schooling, part of the reason why I dropped out. Also, they are victims of poor education, those students who excel in their studies with flying colors likely have their career determined as professors or civil servants.

Why are the Canadians more reluctant to speak their mind?

Is it true that in Russia, the major cities prosper, while the rural areas are falling into neglect? https://en.topwar.ru/269993-umirajuschaja-malaja-rossija.html Has anyone here spoken with the disabled?

My friend Anthony told me, «most major cities in Russia are not affected by sanctions, things are developing, but the smaller cities and towns are suffering.» He also claimed publicly that disabled people «stay at home fearing for their life, judgment is constantly passed on if they finally have to go out due to an emergency... They live a quiet and hermit-based life!»
My other Russian friend told me, «Even the majority of bandits and hooligans in the 90s tried not to offend the disabled, and sometimes even helped them.» Because the disabled were looked upon as blessed ones, holy fools.

Hi Jeremiah! There are very many Orthodox priests in Russia — so some are men of highest caliber and others are not worth much as spiritual guides. I have had good experience with Orthodox priests in the US, though. Many American Orthodox priests (even in the ROCOR — Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia) are converts from Protestantism and Catholicism. American Orthodox priests I have met are enthusiasts, they do what they do not for money, you can't make any money this way in North America.

But yes, they would also be very suspicious of any transphysical experience. You may want to check out your local Orthodox church, just to see what it's like.

I wish I knew. Perhaps cold climate? Or old British traditions? Or historical background, for people used to come to the US for freedom and Canada was attracting mostly those who wanted free farmland.

I only visited Russia once since the start of the current conflict. I was in Moscow and a mid-size city in the south (160.000 people approx.) Both look great. Clean, efficient, technologically advanced, friendly, safe, and not expensive — these are my impressions.

There is some truth to what your are saying, though. The country is enormously vast, and you can't cover the whole territory with the same quality of modern amenities, so younger and ore ambitious folks tend to leave for large urban centers. But that's the case in many countries, including Canada. Much of Northern Canada looks unbelievably gloomy — crackheads everywhere, shabby houses and bad roads.

Сергей,
That's reassuring to know, thanks for providing me with your testimony. I can understand why they chose to convert from the western branches, more corruption abounds. Some priests may feel drawn to Orthodoxy again or have longing for ancient roots. There's a prophecy about how all Christian sects will pour into a changed Orthodoxy, proclaimed by the holy fool Duniushka of Siberia. Isn't this compatible with Roza Mira? She also proclaims that the Orient/East will not prevail over Holy Rus. https://www.oocities.org/kitezhgrad/prophets/duniushka.html
What's unusual about her is that at times she spoke in the exact same manner as Adolf Hitler, she would start slowly then gradually be fired up! I don't know anyone else who noticed this.
I believe she may have foreseen the recent earthquake in Russia, a partial fulfillment? I don't have access to the source material, I'm not in a position to say whether she was real or hoax.
American clairvoyant Jeanne Dixon predicted a false Oriental religion would appear by 2030, Christians would have to return to their roots to survive.

The nearest Orthodox church is a hour walk away from me, unless I have someone drive me there. I'm aware that there are many Slavs (more Ukrainians than Russians) living in my area, I usually see them at the park.
